Tracks and trims are the hardware that makes acoustic ceilings and walls install cleanly. Acoustimart supplies extruded aluminium and PVC tracks for suspending baffle ceilings, edge trims for finishing panel installations, T-grid systems compatible with drop-in ceiling tiles, and PVC L angles in five sizes (16×16 to 50×50 mm) for edge and corner protection across panels, cabinetry, and drywall returns.

Without these small pieces, none of the visible acoustic materials install properly — and it's the tracks and trims that separate a professional-look install from an amateur one.
Why the hardware matters
Acoustic materials get all the attention in the design brief. But the hardware is what makes the install look right and stay right. A baffle hung from cheap wire fails after two years; a baffle on Acoustimart's aluminium suspension track stays for 25.
This is why professional installers spec the hardware to match the acoustic materials. It's not a shortcut item — it's structural, and it's visible, and it needs to be right.
The four categories in the range
Baffle suspension tracks: extruded aluminium tracks that hang from structural ceilings and hold rows of baffles at consistent spacing. Available in standard lengths for site-cut installations.
Edge trims: aluminium or uPVC profiles that finish the visible edges of wall panels, PET-clad walls, or baffle systems. Multiple colour options to match the panel finish.
T-grid systems: standard 24 mm T-profile grids compatible with drop-in acoustic tiles. Used for suspended ceiling installations where individual panel replacement is required.
Wire drops and hangers: the small hardware that makes suspension installs work — wire droppers, adjustable hangers, ceiling anchors. Sold in bulk for larger installs.
Materials — aluminium or uPVC
Aluminium extrusions are the premium choice. Corrosion-free, dimensionally stable, powder-coatable to any colour, structurally strong. Standard for professional commercial installs and premium residential projects.
uPVC extrusions are the value engineering choice. Lower cost, adequate performance for most residential and light commercial applications. Not recommended for high-load overhead installs or humid environments.
For projects where the hardware is visible in the finished install, aluminium wins on both appearance and long-term stability. For hidden or lightly-loaded installs, uPVC is the value choice.
Installation and site cutting
All Acoustimart tracks and trims cut cleanly on-site with standard tools — hacksaw for aluminium, utility knife for uPVC. No specialist tooling required.
For clean 45° corner cuts on edge trims, use the same multi-angle cutter that ships with the fabric-tucking-tools kit. This is the same tool that cuts uPVC grippers to length.
Aluminium tracks fix to the structural ceiling with masonry anchors, wire drops, or direct-fix screws depending on the substrate. Standard fixings and anchors are available in bulk.
Colour and finish options
Mill-finish aluminium is the standard — clean, industrial, timeless. Standard on most professional installs.
Powder-coated aluminium is available in 20+ standard colours for projects where the hardware colour needs to match the panel finish. Custom colours available on project-scale orders.
White uPVC is the standard finish for uPVC extrusions. Black uPVC is available on request for premium residential applications where visible hardware needs to be discreet.
Ordering — always with the primary product
Tracks and trims are always ordered alongside the primary acoustic materials they're installing. Send us the BOM for baffles + tracks, PET panels + edge trims, and we quote the whole install package.
For distributor / dealer accounts stocking the range, we ship at trade pricing on volume. Contractors and interior fit-out firms typically maintain a stock of standard trims for regular projects.

Care & maintenance
- Dust panels every 2–3 months with a soft brush or low-suction vacuum
- Spot-clean stains with a dry microfiber cloth — avoid water on foam / PET
- Do not paint absorptive surfaces (blocks porous absorption)
- Inspect fixings annually and re-tension gripper fabric if needed
